Corporate Social Responsibility

At Lynwood Civil Engineering we respect, support and protect the areas in which we operate and we strongly believe in supporting the communities in which we work. We therefore take a proactive approach to CSR across three key areas; supporting the environment, contributing to charities & caring for our community.

Supporting the Environment

Reducing our impact on the environment plays a key part in the day to day running of our business and for future strategy planning. The initiative is supported by our ISO14001 Environmental Management System, alongside our assurance in educating our teams on awareness of environmental management and improvement.

We have recently invested in new plant and equipment to improve our fuel efficiency, a Euro 6 compliant fleet of new vehicles that uses telematics to monitor our fuel & emissions, and we are currently trialling hybrid & plug-in vehicles for future use within the fleet. LED lighting has also been refitted at both our office and depot to minimise energy wastage. We also adhere to all recycling and renewal of waste management services with a local provider.

Contribution to Charities

Lynwood Civil Engineering supports a number of charities that are close to our hearts and where we feel our business can truly make a difference. We provide annual support and sponsorship activities for events dedicated to Water Aid, a not-for-profit federation determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene possible for everyone, everywhere. We are also an annual company supporter of the Lighthouse Club, a UK charity that provides financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families.

Caring for our Community

In conjunction with our industry aligned charity work, it is really important to us to also work alongside our local community and to offer support wherever we can. We’re committed to working with South West based charities, schools and local sports clubs to help them continue to provide fun activities and crucial outlets for the community.
